"Dopo Santiago de Cuba passando per il Brasile" is a natural prosecution of the way started in the previous CD, among sounds, rhythms and culture of latin american countries, influenced by european and most of all african cultures. In this second recording you can find much of Cuba, a little of Brasil and a bit of Argentina, to confirm the passion that set this project in motion. |

This CD contains original compositions by Silvio Zalambani, written in the most typical latin american styles (fandango, zapateo, danzón, son, milonga, tango). It is a hypothetical journey to reconquer latin american musical tradition. The journey starts from Andalusía, land of conquest, exchange and cultural contamination, passes through Cuba, recalling Havana, Trinidad or Santa Clara atmospheres and colours, up to Buenos Aires. |

This CD propounds the first period of tango's history ("Guardia Vieja") in the styles in vogue between 1880 and 1920 in Buenos Aires: habanera, milonga, candombe. All the pieces, famous motifs written by authors of world-wide renown (Villoldo, Bardi, Arolas, Greco, Saborido, Rodriguez, Mendizábal, Canaro, ), have been arranged by Silvio Zalambani. |
